Huobi US has both a daily and a monthly asset withdrawal limit, estimated in US dollars. The limits factor in all of a user’s virtual currencies, and once a limit is reached, the user cannot withdraw additional virtual currencies until the next relevant period.
For example, consider a user with a daily withdrawal limit of $2,000 and a monthly withdrawal limit of $20,000. If the user withdraws $100 worth of BTC, the withdrawable US dollar amount of the user for the remainder of that day reduces to $1,900, and the remaining withdrawable US dollar amount of the user for the remainder of that month reduces to $19,900. If the user does not withdraw any more virtual currencies that day, on the following day, the user’s daily withdrawable US dollar amount will return to $2,000, but the user’s remaining monthly withdrawable US dollar amount will stay at $19,900. If the user wants to increase daily or monthly withdrawal limit, the user must obtain a higher verification level.
Users of different verification levels have different daily and monthly asset withdrawal limits. The higher the verification level a user possesses, the higher the user’s withdrawal limits become.
To estimate the number of a type of virtual currencies a user may withdraw at a given time, Huobi US calculates the then current US dollar equivalent price of one unit of that virtual currency and then divides a user’s current withdrawable US dollar amount by that price. This results in the relevant withdrawable number of that form of virtual currencies for that user at that time.
For example, consider a user with a $2,000 daily withdrawal limit. If Huobi US retrieves the US dollar price of LTC and finds it to be $100 each, then the user may still withdraw 20 LTC at that time.
Continuously fluctuating virtual currency prices therefore lead to continuously fluctuating withdrawal amounts, which can cause inconvenience to the users. To mitigate this, Huobi US calculates for each type of virtual currency the relevant withdrawal amount every 10 minutes.
Again, consider a user with a $2,000 daily withdrawal limit. If Huobi US calculates that the US dollar equivalent price of LTC to be $100 at a given time, then the user can withdraw 20 LTC at that moment. That number will remain the same for the next 10 minutes until the US dollar equivalent price of each LTC is calculated again. If after 10 minutes the US dollar equivalent price of LTC is found to be $105 each, the user’s relevant withdrawal amount will be calculated by dividing $2,000 with $105, resulting in approximately 19.047 LTC.
